A complaint in this regard has been lodged by Jyoti Ranjit Juneja (40) of Undri with the Kondhwa police station. The trio was produced before the court on Friday and remanded to police custody till December 13.
According to sub-inspector J A Kadam, Juneja started a boutique known as Saheli Arts at Undri in January this year. She had appointed Kenyuseng, Izam and Saniva as salesgirls in her shop. "Investigations have revealed that the three girls used to steal dress materials, purses and cosmetics from the boutique without Juneja's knowledge," Kadam said.
He said that some months back, Juneja checked the stock of the material in the boutique. She became suspicious when she found that some articles were missing. "The incident came to light on Thursday afternoon when Kenyuseng and Saniva informed Juneja that their colleague Izam used to steal articles from the boutique," Kadam said.
When Juneja asked Izam regarding this, she revealed that both Kenyuseng and Saniva were also involved in the thefts. Juneja immediately lodged a complaint against the three with police.
Kadam said that a few days ago, Kenyuseng and Izam had quarrelled over some issue. "Kenyuseng and Saniva hatched the plan to implicate Izam by informing Juneja and get her arrested. However, they too were trapped along with her," Kadam added.
