A joint statement issued by Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Chief Secretary Lalthara said the decision to appreciate and welcome the unity move was taken in the meeting of Nagaland Cabinet held here last night. The Cabinet expressed the hope that the unity would contribute towards the larger interest of all Naga national workers (undergrounds).
The NSCN(K) and NNC/FGN had decided to unite in principal unconditionally on July 15 and they had resolved to evolve a common platform with equal participation of the people to expedite the solution to the Naga political issue.
