Replying to a question of Congress legislator Y Hewoto Awomi during Question Hour on the opening day of the Seventh Session of the Eleventh Nagaland Legislative Assembly Mr Kaito informed the House that the proposal to convert the portion of NH 39 between Kohima and Dimapur still stands and there was no question of abandoning the project.
He further informed that funds had not been released from the Union Government and the National Highway Authority for the project, for which work for the four-lane highway could not be started so far.
