Education dept issues showcause notice to 662 'bogus' teachers

Kohima, Jun 22 : The school education department of the Nagaland government has issued a showcause notice to 662 teachers asking them why their services should not be terminated.

According to official sources here today the public notice was signed by Ex-Officio Director of School Education Mhathung Kithan while individual 'showcause' notices were served to the teachers appointed between January 2002 to March 2009. Their appointments were found 'bogus' on scrutiny.
