Under the' Tiny Card&aposscheme launched by the State Bank of India, the state government can directly transfer the money in the specific accounts that will be provided to all the beneficiaries of the NREGA, flagship employment programme of the central government.
" Till now, this facility was provided in Andhra Pradesh only. Now, the' Tiny Card&aposproject has been started in UP as well," Chief General Manager of SBI Shiv Kumar told PTI here.
SBI with the collaboration of Zero Mass Foundation will appoint an agent in every village who will open separate account for the NREGA beneficiaries and provide them a biometric card carrying all the details of the account holder.
