A press note issued by NPF Mokokchung Division stated that the two MLAs “desertion of the Congress glaringly reflects the un-envious motley company of the high- command controlled State Congress”.
“The fast diminishing party crowded with larger than life actors programmed with a single point agenda of self aggrandizement. The gagged State Congress does not have much to offer to the Nagas but to obediently follow the diktats of the Delhi based high- command.”
The press note maintained that the resignation of the two legislators from the State Legislative Assembly will serve as ‘a living expression’ of progressive and right thinking leaders to work for the Nagas through an indigenous Naga party.
“The NPF under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio always unreservedly proposed, professed and promulgated for the cause of the Nagas.
The ambience of unhindered atmosphere in the party facilitates all round development of the people and the state,” the press note stated.
