The overseas group will be presenting papers on different aspects of Naga society from perspectives that represent their areas of knowledge and expertise. They look forward to an open and meaningful dialog with leaders in government, nationalist movement, civil society, and the public.
As stated in the draft program, the purpose of the conference “is to bring Naga people from across diverse political and ideological persuasions to an inclusive event where, despite our differences, we can focus attention on how to contribute to the common good.”
The group is not affiliated to any government, political party, or nationalist faction. It is composed of concerned individuals who want to contribute to the advancement of the Naga society in any way they can.
They consider this an exploratory meeting that will hopefully lead to meaningful collaborative work with like-minded people in the homeland.
