PSUN general conference held

Kohima, January 19 : The 39th general conference of Poilwa Students’ Union Nagaland was held on January 8- 12 last at Poilwa village with Neiba Ndang, former speaker NLA and secretary general NCP North East India as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Ndang encouraged the students to have strong determination to excel at this competitive age. He also emphasized on the importance of preserving the flora and fauna for its sustainability. He also urged upon students community to promote and preserve the rich culture and tradition of our forefather.
The Union also organized a football tournament in memory of late. Machidalong. Gracing this event, Pausui Zeliang, additional director IPR adviced the students to be hard labour and value the hard earn money that their parents has been affording them to pursue their education. The valedictory function was graced by Hairongbe, chairman Poilwa Namci as guest of honour. Folk song also marked the conference.
The Union also elected its new team of office bearers for the tenure 2010-2011.
