NSF query NU over recruitment agency

Kohima, Dec 5 : The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has claimed that Nagaland University (NU) is proposing to let some outside agencies take up recruitment of staff on the plea that the “administration is unable to do scrutiny for making appointments.”

The federation in a press note issued by its assistant general secretary and secretary of education stated that the case is viewed with “serious concern on the inefficiency of the university’s administration.” The federation has sought the attention of the university that “NSF will not tolerate any move to deviate from reality on recruitment system” in NU.

The NSF has also reaffirmed its stand over its representation on the reservation quota in NU and has demanded again for a fresh advertisement to be published in sequence with the reservation quota for Schedule Tribes in all the post vacancies for non-teaching staff in Nagaland University.

In relation to it, NSF has stated that it is reiterating its earlier representation on the reservation quota in NU in accordance with the “office memorandum from the ministry of personal public grievances and pension department of personal and training dated 5th July 2005, which clearly stated that Nagaland has the opportunity to avail 45% reservation in Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ category of posts in any central office.”
