Confirming the report today, president of Chakhesang Mothers Association (CMA), K Rose revealed that the accused identified as Razounü Khamo (30), son of Erecyü Khamo of Phüsachodu village under Phek district of Nagaland had dragged the victim out of her house from Tinpatti area and was physically tortured and beaten to unconsciousness before being raped in front of co-accused Velazo Lohe of Sakraba village.
She revealed that an FIR in this connection was lodged by the victim’s family on September 18 at the Kohima North Police Station and a copy endorsed to CMA.
Kohima Women Cell Police has taken up the case and is conducting rigorous search operations to nab the culprits who have been evading arrest.
