Thailand Ambassador calls on Rio

Ambassador to India Chalit Manityakul called on Nagaland Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Neiphiu Rio in New Delhi where they discussed strengthening of ties between Thailand and the north east especially Nagaland.

According to a press release, they also discussed on improvement of connectivity, increase of tourism opportunities and exchange programmes. 

The ambassador expressed gratitude to Rio and the Nagaland government for a memorable visit of the Princess of Thailand’s visit to Nagaland.

He also informed that Thailand was taking up initiatives to sponsor and support visits of persons from the north east to Thailand for capacity building and exposure, especially in the field of tourism.

Thai ambassador assured all possible cooperation to the NE and Nagaland for joint ventures, which are of mutual benefit. He informed the MP that his government would look into the positive suggestions that have been made for increased bilateral ties, people-to-people contact, cultural exchanges and confidence building measures between people of Thailand and India, particularly the north east.
