Nagaland Global varsity inks MoU with Chinese Institute

The Global Open University Nagaland(TGOUN) and Chinese Institute of Language and Arts and China Study Centre, Dimapur have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to offer a joint certificate in Chinese language and culture.
According to sources, Dr. Imotemsu Ao, Director and Registrar, TGOUN and Dr. Yan Murry, Administrative In-charge of Chinese Institute inked the MoU yesterday. This is a significant step as the demand for learning of Chinese language has increased with China's growing economy. The Joint Certificate will help students looking for public sector jobs as well as in companies. The three month Joint Certificate course will be conducted at Chinese Institute in Dimapur.
Sources said Hotel Management students can learn Chinese. As part of the MoU, Chinese language will also be included in the syllabus of the B.Sc course of the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Dimapur established by TGOUN. The Chinese Institute will be providing their teaching services to the students. Foreign language is a compulsory subject for the B.Sc students during their first year, it added.
