In a statement Mr Imkong said in the event that the MHA has given clearance, the state government has not been taken into confidence.
''We have not been informed and we are in the dark,'' he said.
The Home Minister said clearance can only be given by the MHA, but added that before doing so the State Government should be taken into consideration on the necessity and location of the designated camp.''Government of India may have granted permission but selection of location has to be done through the state government, for which we were not informed,'' he maintained.
The minister also revealed that the NSCN-K demand for opening a Ceasefire Monitoring Office in Dimapur was discussed at the last security coordination meeting in Kohima but said the State Government is not in favour.
Reacting to Monday’s firing incident in Dimapur, he said it was uncalled for.
