Talking to UNI Commandant of the Border Road Task Force (BRTF), under Border Road Organization, Col Tejpzl said due to continuous rainfall, there was landslides on NH 29, especially in the KMC dumping site, Medziphema, Pagla Pahar and Chumukedima areas.
He said the BRTF was tirelessly working to maintain the highways.
Official sources said due to incessant rain, land slide occurred at various locations along NH-29 between Dimapur to Kohima.
With the onset of monsoon, it was anticipated that bigger slides might occur along this road. The Border Roads Organization has been working tirelessly to clear the slides as and when they occur.
