In a statement issued by FNR, he said that a team of FNR met NSCN (K) Ato Kilonser ('prime minister') Kitovi Zhimomi and 'commander-in-chief' Gen Khole at Khehoi camp in Dimapur district on Saturday last, in presence of the convener of National Political Advisory Committee and senior members of the outfit, where Kitovi assured full commitment to reconciliation and also said his side had done everything to bring their 'President' S S Khaplang for the proposed HLM.
However, the 'sudden disturbing trends' and 'unfavourable situation' in the eastern Naga areas has prevented Khaplang from coming to participate in the proposed meeting, which will be possible only when situation becomes more conducive.
The statement said that Gen Khole stressed on the importance of knowing what had happened in the past, in order to set the 'wrongs' into 'right' and the division in the rank and file of the Naga political movement.
