NSCN-IM Chief to have talks with Centre

Kohima, Apr 5 : The president of National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IN) Isak Chishi Swu is slated to leave for New Delhi today to attend the next round of talks with the Centre.

In a release issued by vice-prsident of Central National Council Rev A Puni here today said that Isak Chishi Swu convened the Joint Council Meeting at Camp Hebron near Dimapur last evening and briefed on the present status of the Indo-Naga peace talks.

He stressed on the need for total commitment of the national workers to God and urged the Home authorities to encourage one another and build a better co-ordination among themselves.

He concluded his briefing with a note of caution to firmly shoulder the responsibilities placed on each one.

Delivering the welcome address, Home Minister Rh Raising expressed happiness for the right steps taken by them.

He assured to rectify all past mistakes with wisdom and assured the home comers that ''as long as we profess one faith, one Nation and one principle, no force on earth can divide us.'' Isak Swu had arrived Dimapur on March 1 last along with his wife, followed by Th. Muivah couple on March 3 and camped at Camp Hebron.

While Muivah left Nagaland on March 31 last, Isak Swu leaves today to attend talks with the Centre.
