DIMAPUR, March 22: Mokokchung Police arrested a fraudster who had earlier duped customers of around Rs 30 lakh in the name of a company. The accused identified as Md. Alek Hussain, director of Red Cherry Marketing Private Ltd, was arrested by a Special Investigation Team of Mokokchung police led by Additional SP Wapang from Guwahati on March 12 last. According to police, the accused had reportedly collected around Rs 30 lakh from 673 customers in Mokokchung and later fled to Guwahati. Md. Alek Hussain, son of Md. Hami Hussain hails from Titabor under Jorhat district, Assam. Mokokchung police said that a case has been registered and further investigation is on.
