ENPO appeals NSCNs to honour commitments

Kohima, Mar 24 : The Eastern Nagaland People's Organisation (ENPO) has appealed to all factions of the Naga rebel groups to restrain from violence activities and to honour the cease-fire ground rules.

A release issued by ENPO President Y Mangko Phom said ENPO had adopted a resolution with Eastern Nagaland National Workers’ Association (ENNWA) of NSCN (K), NSCN-IM and Naga National Council/ Federal Government of Nagaland (NNC/FGN) along with six tribes on December 18, 2007 in Tuensang and the summit resolved to shun bloodshed, threat, intimidation or any form of violence within ENPO jurisdiction.

It was also resolved that ENPO would not extend any public cooperation to any faction or group for non-compliance of the agreed resolutions.

Stating that the ENPO is still firm and stand on the resolution and appealed all factions to shun all type of violence.
