Addressing a press conference here this afternoon, Mr Rio said both the parties involved, where there was of mismanagement of over Rs 1.23 Crore, could settle the Nagaland Sugar Mill scandal, with mutual understanding.
He said that he did not allow prosecuting the persons accused by the CBI, as the State Government has not invited CBI to investigate the case.
He has already written a letter to the Gauhati High Court that both the parties have agreed to settle the issue mutually.
The CBI had accused the Deputy Director of Nagaland Industries Department and the sitting Rajya Sabha Member in the Nagaland Sugar Mill scandal.
