Dr. Khriekoulie in his speech highlighted the importance of village health day programme where every villager can avail free medical treatment which is held on every second week (Friday) of every month. CDPO of Jakhama, Kezevi-o also spoke on the importance of the Village Health Day programme which plays an important role by providing free treatment to the villagers.
Advising the villagers gathered at the programme to encourage more people for participation on such occasions, Kezevi-o added that good health is very important for a sound and happy life. He also advised the Anganwadi workers to take part during such programmes.
Altogether 35 patients were given free medical check-up, besides immunisation of 17 children and post-natal treatment to 2 pregnant mothers.
