NU students reeling from water shortage

Dimapur, February 20 : Nagaland University students of Lumami campus are facing shortage of water so much so they have to bring water from home to their hostels. 

According to the Sumi Hoho, the students are bringing  into their hostels, water from home.

‘The principal and lecturers should know the problem faced by the students’ but “they usually come from Mokokchung and attend the classes and back”, the hoho stated in a note today.

The government and the PHE department are appealed to, to look into the problem and provide water connection to the university’s campus. 

That shortage of basic facilities like water are causing health problems, not to mention of the everyday hardships, the students face, the hoho said negligence cannot give them ‘good knowledge’.

The authorities in concern are appealed to, to do the needful at the earliest.
