A press release issued by the Mokokchung DCC president, I Nungkum and general secretary I Tia Lkr expressed shock that the two resigned legislators, Kejong Chang from 54 Tuensang Sadar II and Aloh Wangham, 41 Tizit under Mon District, were “auctioned” by Rs 10 crores. It strongly asserted that the receipt of crores of Rupees by the MLAs is a sale of public mandate.
“Though defection of MLA or sales of MLA by 10 Crores or more Naga political problem will not be solved,” the release stated.
In this connection, the Mokokchung DCC once again advised the concern Assembly Constituency officer ‘not to insist such leaders in political or social organisation in the future.
Mkg DCC meeting on Feb 23
In another separate press release, the Mokokchung District Congress Committee informed that a DCC Executive meeting of all ACCC Presidents with their officials, District frontal Chiefs and veteran leaders of Mokokchung district is scheduled to be held on February 23 at the DCC office from 10:00 am onwards.
Informing this in a press release, the Mokokchung DCC general secretary (admin), Imdongjujang requested all concern officials to attend the meeting without fail.
