2 Cong MLAs resign in Nagaland

KOHIMA, Feb 15 : In a major setback for the Opposition Congress in Nagaland, two of its sitting MLAs have resigned on Friday.

The MLAs who resigned are Kejong Chang from Tuensang Sadar-II seat and Aloh Wangham of Tizit seat. Kejong was elected as Congress MLA for the second time while Aloh was a first-timer.

Both the Congress MLAs submitted their resignation to the Speaker of Nagaland Assembly, Kiyanilie Peseyie on Friday. Peseyie has reportedly accepted the resignations.

Sources said that some more Congress MLAs are likely to resign within the next few days.
