Official sources here today said during the week-long celebration, various programmes like workshops, seminars, press meets, competition in colleges on RTI related themes would be organised throughout the state. This year the celebration marks the completion of five years of the implementation of the RTI Act in the country.
During the RTI Week, the Deputy Commissioners across the state will be organising functions involving government functionaries, eminent public leaders, members of civil societies and student groups.
The Nagaland Information Commissioner will also present special talk on RTI Act, 2005 and its implementation in India which will be aired through All India Radio, Kohima and Doordarshan Kendra, Kohima during the Week. An interface meet with the Press fraternity was also being organised through the Department of Information & Public Relations in this regard, sources added.
