‘No work no pay’ in Nagaland

DIMAPUR, May 22 – Following the decision of the Confederation of All Nagaland State Service Employees Association (CANSSEA) to go on mass casual leave from May 24 to demand implementation of the 6th ROP with effect from January 1, 2006, the Nagaland Government has decided to invoke the principle of ‘No work no pay’.

Chief Secretary Lalthara in an office memorandum today directed all heads of administrative departments and heads of departments to bring this office memorandum to the notice of all government servants under their control for strict compliance.

CANSSEA on Thursday announced a three-day mass casual leave from May 24 to protest against the State Government’s apathy towards implementation of the 6th Central Pay Commission.

Meanwhile, the Nagaland Government has constituted a five member committee to hold parleys with CANSSEA for implementation of the 6th CPC with effect from January 1, 2006.
