STORM 2010 youth fest kicks off at IMC

Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): Youths attending the STORM 2010 –Unleashed youth fest at the IMC, Dimapur were in for a treat. Youth Ministry members from New Delhi and Mizoram were geared up along with local Sinai ministries to bring about a transformation in the lives of youth through creative and fun ways.
‘Unleashing the history maker’
With introductions made and out of the way, Frozen Heart performed some rocking songs while Faith Ministries from Mizoram presented a hip hop dance. From Sinai Ministries, Wabang Longchari, Aren Sayer and Tulu presented a song. Pastor Shavez Williams from Fountain Flow Christian Centre, New Delhi also introduced the concept of STORM as well as his team members.
Missionary Allemsunep Jamir, the first speaker for the youth fest spoke on the theme ‘Unleashing the history makers.’ He explained that history makers were unlike us-always trying to be someone else and instead they were people who do not care what they look or what they care. “They are concerned to make a change in someone’s life, before life ends for them” he stated. He also expressed hope that there will be history makers in Nagaland. He also propounded to the youths that ‘You are what you hear, just like the saying you are what you eat.’ He said that if you keep on hearing negative, you will become just that.’
The fest is a three day event –and will witness a host of programmes. Day two, April 24 will start with a workshop from 9:00 am on Christian radical living and session II from 11:30 on Living a life of creativity. From 5:00 in the evening, worship and special performances by bands and message by Shavez Williams.
