The house resolved to support the resolutions unanimously adopted by the 60 elected representatives in its 11th Legislative Assembly Session on Naga political issue on November 27, 2009 particularly the resolution No. 4 to constitute a Joint Parliamentary Committee on the Naga political issue comprising of members irrespective of political party is a positive development towards creating better understanding among our people. A press release issued by the president of the Association, T. Khongo Shiu (Ex-LMA) said that the ex-parliamentarians were invited to the joint meeting of the sitting and ex-members on April 14 at Dimapur for which they acknowledged the speaker of NLA and the Chief Minister.
