“We pray to the almighty to shower His blessings on Nagaland Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal and Assam to bring peace, harmony and prosperity to the people,” the Army in a greeting note stated.
The message also added that to celebrate “Christmas for ‘Peace, Prosperity & Progress’”.
It also went on saying that may God’s love instill in everyone’s hearts this Christmas and make a difference to usher in a NEW YEAR which is more peaceful, prosperous, progressive; “Let this Christmas herald a new dawn, bring fresh hope and promise; let it be a time for love and brotherhood.”
It also added that may God bless every citizen with a happy joyous and peaceful Christmas.
In another greeting message, Maj Gen Sandeep Singh, VSM, Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) and all ranks of Assam Rifles have extended “very warm greetings to the people of Nagaland” on the occasion of Christmas.
It stated that AR as a part of the Naga society, it joins the people of Nagaland in their revered “prayers to the Lord” to shower his choicest blessings on the state. “This beautiful state with majestic mountains and rippling streams be the home for peace, prosperity and eternal tranquility.”
“In this message to the brethren of Nagaland, the IGAR (N) family joins the Nagas in following the path shown by Jesus Christ to live as brothers and sisters of the same family. Let all people of Nagaland prosper and have everlasting peace with the dawn of the New Year,” the IGAR in the message stated.
