Stating that the Nagaland government has made all efforts to control the situation, the Raj Bhavan said the governor was pained to see such unfortunate happenings. The governor has decided to meet those people from Nagaland who returned home.
Officials said the Nagaland governor has already taken up the issue of discrimination and racial profiling faced by the people from NE states with the Centre. The Union ministry of home affairs has directed the states to adopt zero tolerance against such crimes as well as higher level of response to complaints from people of NE states, particularly women, they added.
