Prohibitory order along Nagaland-Assam border

Kohima, Sep 22 : The Sivasagar district authorities has imposed a prohibitory order under Section 144 CrPC along Nagaland-Assam border to stop unlawful activities.

Official sources here today said according to an information received from the Additional District Magistrate, of Sivasagar in Assam, a lot of anti-social elements, coming from across Assam, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh border may indulge in unlawful activities.

Therefore, taking precautionary measures for preventing such untoward incidents and to maintain peace and tranquility in the district night prohibitory order has been imposed.

It is to inform all the general public that the prohibitory order is effected from dusk to dawn has been imposed under section 144 CrPC of 1973 from 1800 hours to 0600 in the area of Assam side bordering Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.

The order said that the order is prohibiting the movement of any person, group of person and any vehicular traffic in the five km belt in Assam side bordering Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh falling in Sivasagar district.
