The Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Nagaland, the premier training centre of the state located at Kimho in the outskirts of the city, has initiated various activities, including plantation under Green ATI, a major initiative taken up during this season. According to official sources here today, besides the training of the Government officials in various trades and subjects, the other activities such as landscaping, interior designing are going on in full swing. The officers and staff, under the leadership of the Director, are divided into three working groups and every Wednesday social work is being done, where cleaning and plantation of trees and flowers are carried out. Altogether the groups had already planted about 1,500 saplings this year in and around ATI campus, which includes two orchards, where different varieties of trees have been planted. A small Green House Nursery has also been constructed for rearing small seedlings of varied species of fruits, flowers and trees, the sources said.
