Official sources here today said with 8, 67,052 electors photographed out of a total of 13, 25,744, which is 66.6 per cent, the Election Department said it was grateful and appreciated the encouraging response of the people.
The exercise was made possible due to the wholehearted cooperation extended by all political parties, NGOs, government officials, village and town authorities, media and the people of the State.
It also informed that Phase-II photography campaign was being conducted from July 2 to July 27.
The Election Department has appealed to voters to get photographed during Phase-II which will be the last exercise to be carried out.
It also sought cooperation of all for the success of the campaign to ensure accurate Photo Electoral Roll and Photo ID Cards.
