Network of Nagaland Drug and AIDS Organizations appeals churches to pray for AIDS victims

Kohima, Jun 26 : The network of Nagaland Drug and AIDS Organizations(N-Naga DAO) acknowledged the concern and contribution of the church towards issues and appealed to the religious and church leaders to do more.

In a press note issued by Khriebu Nakhro, President, N-Naga DAO here today said the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking fall tomorrow and requested all the churches and church leaders for a special prayer for all those affected people.

The N-Naga DAO described alcoholism and drug addiction as most prevalent, complex, and destructive illness in human society.

The organisation said the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) leads the International campaign aimed at raising awareness regarding the major drug-related problems.
