Nagaland Rural Bank achieves full Core Banking

Kohima, Jun 30 : All the branches of Nagaland Rural Bank (NRB) adopted core banking solution (CBS) facilitating funds transfer from one branch to another.

Official sources said here today the NRB, established on March 3, 1983, improved tremendously in terms of technology during the past two years.

NRB is jointly owned by the Government of India, Government of Nagaland and the State Bank of India (SBI).

Sources quoting NRB Chairman I Sashi Pongener said 100 per cent migration to CBS was mainly due to continued support by the sponsor bank (SBI) and revealed that NRB was to implement RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement) facilities, open more CBS branches, ATMs or tie-up arrangement for using ATMs of other banks to provide better services to customers.
