Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister Kuzholuzo Nienu today emphasised on the need for quality education in the backward areas for faster development of the areas. Addressing as the chief guest of the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Ruzazhomi Students Union (RSU), in the Ruzazhomi village under Phek district today, Mr Nienu said parents of students have equal responsibility to impart quality education to their children.
In his presidential address, RSU president Sato Veswuh welcomed all the guests and appealed to the students to prepare themselves to face the challenges of the future. Speaking at the function, Chakhesang Students Union president Esther Rhakho said not only the Ruzazhomi area, but the entire Phek district was still reeling under backwardness.
''However, the Chakhesang people are striving to cope with the fast-paced world and appealed to all the students to dedicate themselves towards development of the backward district,'' he said. Engineer Vekho will be the Speaker in the Valedictory function tomorrow.
