The DYON said the law enforcement agencies have been unable to control the situation while killing of innocents, arson and destruction of properties and displacement of innocence people are on in NC Hills. “The state agencies have also been unable to nab any of the perpetrators till date,” the DYON stated and called it a shame.
“…question arises in the mind of civilian that are they (the government of Assam) involved in the violence? What are they doing? What is their motive?” the organization queried while appealing to the civil society to condemn “such groups” involved in inhumane activities for selfish interests and greed.
The DYON also appealed to the “groups” involved in the massacre of NC hills to stop the bloodshed and come out for dialogue “if there is any dispute, because violence will not bring any solution rather it will generate enmity among own-self”.
The youth organization has appealed to both the Dimasa and Zeme communities “to love and support one another and live peacefully as we live with brotherly relationship and not to get influence by any third party who ever may be involved and trying to break the strong relationship of Dimasa and Zeme.”
