Rotomi village trained in growing Naga chilly

Dimapur, June 15 : A day long training programme was conducted at Rotomi (Old) Village on June 11 for the cultivation of Naga chilly. In the first session 80 farmers from seven villages attended the training programme which was chaired by JK Chanda District Horticulture Officer Zunheboto. The resource person was Pawan Kumar Deputy Director of Horticulture who trained the farmers with post harvest management to marketing of Naga chilly. Senti Longchar AHO Kohima spoke on plant protection measures, seed selection and preservation of Naga chilly.
In the second session training was conducted on cultivation of orange, banana and pineapple with special reference on pomegranate by JK Chanda DHO Zunheboto where 87 farmers from Akuhaito area and VK Area participated. Vikheto HEA Zunheboto trained the farmers with the technical support on pineapple and banana. Pawan Kumar also spoke on the cultivation of oranges.
