Relief Committee for NC Hills Incident

Imphal, June 14 : A new relief committee "The Zonal Relief Committee, Imphal Zone" has been formed with its office at Mahabali Kabui Community Hall, Palace Compound, Imphal under the directives from the Relief Committee (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) for the NC Hills Incident  2009 and subsequent endorsement from the UNC, Manipur for NC Hills ethnic violence against Zeliangrong by Dimasa militants.

A press release issued by the Convener of Relief Committee, Imphal Zone, Pou Rubi Kamson stated that the purpose of the relief Committee is to mobilize relief measures and raised fund for the affected Zeliangrong Naga People in NC Hills and for those displaced and fleeing Zeliangrong people who are taking shelter at Tousem relief camps.

The statement requested NGOs, Civil Societies and individuals to extend their generous help and cooperation either in cash or kind for onward dispatch to the Tousem relief camps.
