Participating in the debate on the governor&aposs address, Rio told the assembly that since the state government was not a party to the political talks between the Centre and the underground leaders, it was not in a position to spell out the status of the peace dialogue.
He said that the Congress members should ask the UPA Government and the underground leaders to disclose the status of the negotiations and the proposals made by the Naga leaders to the Centre.
Urban Development Minister Shurhozelie said as elected representatives of the people, all members of the assembly should have equal concern for the vexed Naga political problem.
